Rental Host is a property certification dashboard that consolidates fragmented verification workflows into a single operational surface every property's status visible at a glance, every required action clearly communicated. The problem: Hosts juggle listing information, documentation, inspection records, and badge applications across multiple systems. The process is slow, error-prone, and lacks transparency. The Challenge

Property certification and verification is an administrative nightmare for multi-property hosts. Core problems: • Hosts manage listings across multiple platforms no single source of truth • Documentation, inspections, and badge applications live in separate systems • No visibility into where applications stand or what's required next • High-volume periods magnify every inefficiency What was needed: A single dashboard where status is always visible, actions are always clear, and nothing falls through the cracks designed for hosts who manage 12+ properties simultaneously.

The Solution

The dashboard is built around three core modules: Status Cards: Each property shows its current verification stage, pending actions, and earned badges. Card-based layout enables rapid scanning hosts assess their full portfolio in seconds. Certification Tracker: Real-time application progress with clear stage indicators. A central prompt guides hosts step by step, eliminating confusion about required documentation at each stage. Badge Management: Surfaces opportunities for additional trust signals. Structured to reward hosts for completing verification steps creating a clear incentive path toward full certification. Visual system: High-contrast dark interface designed for extended monitoring sessions. Controlled contrast reduces visual fatigue while keeping critical status information highly visible.

What I Did

I led the full dashboard UX and visual design from workflow analysis to high-fidelity interface. My contributions: • Mapped the certification workflow and defined the status hierarchy every application state, action, and transition • Designed the certification workflow as a guided progression, not a static checklist clear visuals for each stage and what's required to advance • Created the badge system to reward hosts for completing verification steps incentivizing ongoing compliance • Chose the dark operational palette for reduced visual fatigue during extended monitoring sessions • Structured the card-based layout for rapid scanning of 12+ properties Outcome: A dashboard that communicates seriousness while making daily monitoring feel efficient and controlled.
